Kaziranga National Park

Kaziranga National Park is located on the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra River in the far North East of India, Assam. Tall thick elephant grass makes it ideal habitat for the Indian One-Horned Rhino.

Kaziranga is a vast expanse of tall elephant grass, marshland, and dense tropical moist broadleaf forests, crisscrossed by four major rivers, including the Brahmaputra. Animals like Rhinoceros, Tiger, Leopard, Elephant, Pythons, Indian bison, Swamp deer, Samber, Hog deer, Sloth Bear, , Leopard cat,Jungle cat, hog badger, Capped langur, Hoolock gibbon, Jackal, Goose, Hornbills, lbis, Cormorants, Egret, Heron Fishing Eagle etc. During winter a large number of migratory birds are seen here.
